Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
This notice explains what data batchbrew.love collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Privacy in plain language
We do not sell your data. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information - or any information you store with batchbrew.love - to data brokers, advertisers, or other companies for their marketing, profiling, or resale.
Your account details, follows, and dashboard activity stay private to you. Information only becomes visible to other visitors when you choose to contribute publicly - for example by submitting a cafe, posting a brew update, or writing a review. We still do not sell information in those cases; we only use it to operate the Service as described below.
What We Collect
- Account data - name, email address, hashed password, and email verification status
- Cafe listings - name, description, address, location coordinates, website and social links, and photos you upload
- Brew updates - coffee details, notes, and optional photos you post about a cafe
- Reviews - ratings, text, and optional photos you submit for a cafe
- Follows - which cafes and roasters you follow, used to build your personal feed
- Location search - address queries sent when submitting a cafe (cached briefly to reduce repeat lookups)
- Operational logs - request logs retained briefly for debugging
How We Use It
We use your data solely to operate the Service: displaying the cafe directory and map, showing brew updates and reviews, building your follow feed, and sending transactional emails (such as account verification and password reset). We do not sell your data, license it to third parties for their own purposes, or use it for advertising.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function - for example to keep you signed in securely. We do not use analytics, advertising, or other optional tracking cookies.
Third-Party Processors
| Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2) | Hosting, database, and file storage |
| Resend | Transactional email delivery |
| OpenStreetMap Nominatim | Address lookup when submitting cafe locations |
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data via our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We will update this notice as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email where we have your address.
